Chawki Karam
Head of EMEA Strategy
Chawki Karam is the head of EMEA strategy in Aperture’s client group. Prior to joining Aperture, Chawki worked at the National Bank of Egypt UK and Wedge Alternatives, where he built a strong network of institutional and retail investors.
Additionally, he gained exposure into investment banking as an analyst in HSBC Bank’s mergers and acquisitions division. His passion for building relationships with investors combined with his experience advising and raising capital for funds across different asset classes led him to Aperture, which stood out among other asset managers due to its unique fee structure, focus on digital, and passionate team.
Chawki is a board member at The American School in England, which he attended in his youth, and earned an MSc in law and accounting from the London School of Economics and Political Science, an MSc in finance at the Imperial College Business School, and a BEng in computer systems & electronics at King’s College London. He is based in the UK and enjoys traveling to new places and exploring new cultures. He has a passion for athletic competition, most recently cycling from London to Paris and completing a half-marathon.
