Jeff is an Associate Portfolio Manager at Aperture.
Jeff is a passionate investor with nearly three decades of experience in the investment management industry. Jeff began his career as a research associate at Dodge & Cox and was promoted progressively as an analyst, shareholder, head of credit strategy & trading and portfolio manager. Subsequently, Jeff was head of Credit Management and co-head of US Fixed Income at HSBC where he also led tactical allocation of off-benchmark securities in high yield, emerging market debt and non-US dollar investments. Also at HSBC, Jeff developed and launched an absolute return credit strategy and managed two synthetic CDOs. Jeff later served as Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at HighMark Capital Management where he was recruited to develop and implement an institutional framework for the Taxable Fixed Income Strategy. Jeff approaches investing through a fundamental framework and value orientation with a primary focus on security selection, sector allocation within the context of a secular macro-economic outlook.
Jeff earned his B.A. at Columbia University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Jeff lives in San Francisco with his wife and two children.
